European Christmas Markets with The Grumpy Retiree
It will soon be Christmas Time 2023, bah humbug. To make it enjoyable I am planning a trip to Europe to see the Christmas Markets! My wife and I went to the Christmas Market in Colmar, France in the Alsace region bordering Germany and had a great time. So it is time for an expanded European Christmas Markets 2023 tour.

I plan to upload live photos during the trip as I’ve done with Italy and Greece. Lots of off the beaten track pictures, good food, wine and of course sightseeing.
In addition to the Christmas Markets there will be a lot of other sightseeing. While in Munich I want to see the BMW Museum and take a day trip to Innsbruck and Dachau. While in Salzburg I have a Mozart concert planned and in Budapest a secret wine cave tasting in the city is already booked.
We will be hitting 5 cities spread throughout 4 countries. Each city boasts at least 1 Christmas Markets. Travel between cities will be by train over 16 days total.
Another Trip Self Planned!
As usual the trip was self planned all online starting with a free American Airlines flight to Munich returning from Budapest on points! Another open jaw fight that worked out very well. Hotels also were all booked online well ahead to lock in good rates, mostly on points!
